COUNTY BOARD OF LEGISLATORS
SPECIAL MEETING
DECEMBER 19, 2005 (10:00 A.M.)
The County Board of Legislators met pursuant to adjournment.
The Honorable William J. Ryan in the Chair.
The Chair opened the meeting with the salute to our flag and an invocation.
The roll call resulted as follows:
Legislators: Young, Abinanti, Astorino, Bronz, Burrows, Kaplowitz, Maisano, Myers, Oros, Pinto, Rogowsky, Spreckman, Stewart-Cousins, Wishnie, Chair – 15.
Absent: Legislators: Alvarado, LaMotte – 2.
Mr. Young moved to suspend the regular order of business for the purpose of holding two public hearings.
PUBLIC HEARING: CHAIR OF THE BOARD AND THE COMMITTEE ON BUDGET AND APPROPRIATIONS: Increased Legislative Compensation: LOCAL LAW INTRO 26-2005: Proposed Local Law amending Section 209.41 of the Laws of Westchester County in relation to the compensation paid to Legislators of the Westchester County Board of Legislators.
There were 5 speakers.
No other person wishing to be heard, Mr. Young declared the Public Hearing closed.
PUBLIC HEARING: CHAIR OF THE BOARD AND THE COMMITTEE ON BUDGET AND APPROPRIATIONS: Increased Compensation to Officers Appointed for a Fixed Term: LOCAL LAW INTRO 27-2005: Proposed Local Law increasing compensation to officers appointed for a fixed term.
There were 4 speakers.
No other person wishing to be heard, Mr. Young moved to close the Public Hearing and resume the regular order of business.

On motion of Mr. Young the following item was Recommitted.
CHAIR OF THE BOARD AND THE COMMITTEE ON BUDGET AND APPROPRIATIONS: Pay Plan Amendment: ACT_____-2005: Act establishing personnel rules in Westchester County service and adopting classification of positions and schedules of pay (BOL).
On motion of Mr. Young the following item was Recommitted.
CHAIR OF THE BOARD AND THE COMMITTEE ON BUDGET AND APPROPRIATIONS: Increased Compensation to Officers Appointed for a Fixed Term: LOCAL LAW INTRO 27-2005: Local Law providing for payments of increased compensation to officers appointed for a fixed term.
On motion of Mr. Young the following item was Recommitted.
