Westchester County Legislator George Oros (R, C/Cortlandt) is pleased to announce the Board of Legislators unanimously voted to transfer nearly six acres of land along Annsville Creek to the City of Peekskill for a planned office park.
Peekskill has already entered into an agreement with the state Department of Conservation to close the former landfill site near Corporate Drive and is looking to construct two office buildings on the site totaling approximately 86,000 square feet.
“This has been in the works for several years and I’m glad we were finally able to finalize it,” Oros said.
“It’s been a great working relationship between the city and the county and Peekskill will get office space at no cost to taxpayers,” said Peekskill City Comptroller Marcus Serrano.
Located next to the Peekskill Wastewater Treatment Plant, the site is also expected to connect to the city’s Riverwalk through the construction of a public accessed trailway.
