The Westchester County Board of Legislators will honor high school students from around the County who recently represented Westchester County at the INTEL International Science and Engineering Fair (ISEF). The Board will hold a special ceremony at it’s meeting at 6:30pm on Monday, May 22nd.
"As a community, we should publicly commend our young people for their achievements -- let them know that we are proud of them," said Legislator Tom Abinanti (D, Greenburgh) who organizes this annual event.
The Intel International Science and Engineering Fair (ISEF) is the world’s largest pre-college science fair. It brings together more than 1,200 of the most curious and capable young science pioneers from more than 40 countries to share ideas, showcase cutting-edge science and compete for more than $2 million in awards and scholarships.
Categories included: behavioral and social sciences, biochemistry, engineering, mathematics, medicine and health among others.
