Local officials invited to special discussion about Westchester’s day aborer population

White Plains, NY—County Legislator Bernice Spreckman (R—Yonkers) has invited local officials to join her at a special informational meeting to discuss, gain input and brainstorm about finding appropriate and safe hiring sites for the day laborer population in Westchester County.

Legislator Spreckman is asking municipal officials from throughout the county to talk about what the day laborer situation is like in their locality, how their community is managing the issue, what options seem to be most effective or ineffective and how other communities across the nation are addressing this matter.

The meeting is open to the public but comments are reserved for the local officials in attendance. This meeting is the first of many to be held by Legislator Spreckman on this complex issue.
