Funding approved:

To complete Mount Vernon office complex boiler replacements
The County Board approved $333,000 to complete the boiler replacement project at the Mount Vernon office complex. The project is part of a multi-year program to rehabilitate buildings and grounds at county office buildings.

To make infrastructure improvements to county’s 112 East Post Road building
The County Board approved $100,000 to finance waterproofing and masonry repairs at 112 East Post Road. The Department of Public Works has stated that the building’s envelopes need maintenance to stop wind driven rain from entering the building and damaging its finished surfaces.

To rehabilitate roads in the Anderson Hill Road area in Harrison
The County Board provided $1,590,000, in addition to $290,000 that was previously allocated, to rehabilitate Anderson Hill Road from Interstate 684 to Lincoln Avenue and the access road from Westchester Avenue west bound to Anderson Hill Road. The work will include asphalt resurfacing, adjusting drainage structures, and adding new durable pavement markings and reflectorized markers.

Intermunicipal Agreement Approved with Mount Pleasant for baseball field
The County Board entered into an intermunicipal agreement with Mount Pleasant to allow the town to continue to use an approximately five acre site that includes a baseball field and a parking lot at the Grasslands Reservation. The license will be for five years and cost the town $200 annually. The town will be responsible for the maintenance and supervision of the site. The county has allowed the town to use the land since 1976.
