Committee on Families To Discuss Recent Child Fatalities in Yonkers with the Department of Social Services

What/Why: The Board’s Committee on Families will meet to begin its probe of the deaths of two young brothers in Yonkers. The County’s Child Protective Services had been involved with the family prior to the fatal incident. The Committee will also take up the independent study of the Department of Social Services by the Child Welfare League of America.
