Student Science Scholars Honored

Move over Albert Einstein…

…and make way for the Westchester high school students who received proclamations from the Board at the June 7 meeting in recognition of their award winning scientific research. The 15 students were winners either of the Progenics Westchester Science and Engineering Fair or the NY State Science and Engineering Fair. They also advanced to the INTEL International Science and Engineering Fair in Portland, Oregon.

In commending the students for their research in fields from behavioral sciences to zoology, County Legislator Tom Abinanti of Greenburgh, a key supporter of the competition, observed: “Our future is in good hands with these students. We take great pride in publicly commending our young people for their achievements.”
