County Legislature Honors Science Fair Winners
Before the start of its May 21 meeting, the Board of Legislators honored high school students from around the County who won awards at WESEF and represented Westchester County at the INTEL International Science and Engineering Fair (ISEF).
WESEF is the local Westchester County science fair affiliated with the INTEL ISEF/ Science Service. Since its inception in 2000, Westchester Science & Engineering Fair (WESEF) has grown tremendously. Last year, over 150 students entered projects from a total of 23 different schools across Westchester and Putnam Counties.
The Intel International Science and Engineering Fair (ISEF) is the world’s largest pre-college science fair. It brings together more than 1,200 of the most curious and capable young science pioneers from more than 40 countries to share ideas, showcase cutting-edge science and compete for more than $2 million in awards and scholarships.
Categories included: behavioral and social sciences, biochemistry, engineering, mathematics, medicine and health among others.
