Sixty Area High School Students Participate in League of Women Voters "County Legislative Day"*

High School students from all over the County became better acquainted with the inner workings of the legislative process at the "Student Legislative Day," an annual event sponsored by the Westchester County League of Women Voters.
Some scenes from the day... Arriving at 8:30 AM, the students enjoyed breakfast and were given an overview of the day and the role the Board plays in County government.

After attending a regular meeting of the full Board at 10 AM, the students had lunch with their legislators. Click here for pictures of students with legislators.
Capping the day was a mock debate on a real issue currently under discussion at the Board---whether businesses offering free internet access should be required to secure their networks to protect users from identity theft and hacking.
