GROUP OF AMAZING WESTCHESTER YOUNGSTERS TO BE HONORED AT MONDAY’S COUNTY BOARD MEETING

---In celebration of Youth Month, the First Annual Chairman’s
Youth Service Recognition Award will honor some
of the county’s most outstanding young residents
for their extraordinary acts of community service---

What: First Annual Chairman’s Youth Service Recognition Award ceremony will honor outstanding Westchester youngsters who performed extraordinary acts of community service in their schools or communities. Teachers and youth leaders from throughout the county submitted nominations, which were then reviewed by the County Board’s Committee on Youth.

Who: Vito Pinto, Chair of the County Board’s Committee on Youth, and Bill Ryan, Chair of the County Board, will announce the award recipients, two from the middle school age category and eight from the high school age category.

When: Monday, November 28; reception at 6:00 PM; individuals will be honored with proclamations at the beginning of the regularly scheduled Board of Legislators meeting that starts at 7:00 PM.

Where: County Board of Legislators Chambers, 800 Michaelian Office Bldg., 148 Martine Avenue, White Plains

Why: November is Youth Month. In celebration of all those Westchester youngsters who are making a positive difference in their communities, the County Board of Legislators will publicly recognize a select group of youngsters who performed acts of community service that took extraordinary effort and dedication.
