Board's Tina Seckerson Receives Proclamation for her
25 years of dedicated service to Westchester County

Throughout its history, Westchester County has been blessed with many outstanding service groups comprised of dedicated men and women who willingly give of their time, talent and energy to make their community a better place for everyone to live and work, and
Whereas, on October 24, 2005, one of these special people, Tina Seckerson is being honored as she celebrates 25 years of dedicated service with Westchester County, and
Whereas, Tina Seckerson was born September 15, 1956 in Yonkers, New York. She is the proud daughter of Edward and Janet Wirchansky. She attended local schools and graduated from Lincoln High School, Yonkers, New York. Before her career with Westchester County, Tina tried her hand as a teacher but felt it wasn’t exactly what she was looking for, and
Whereas, on June 30, 1980, Tina began working as an intermediate clerk in the Westchester County Clerk’s office as an hourly employee. On December 1, 1980, she was hired by the Board of Legislators as a senior typist. She soon climbed up the ladder as: junior administrative assistant; secretary to chairman Ed Brady; senior administrative assistant; program coordinator; director of program development and deputy clerk/deputy chief of staff, the title she currently holds, and
Whereas, on May 16, 1982, Tina married the love of her life, Ttim. She has two beautiful children, Elizabeth and Nick. (Liz & Nick, Liz & Nick, it’s all about Liz & Nick). She’s a volleyball, baseball, and basketball mother. She meets herself coming and going, but somehow manages to always fit them into her busy schedule, and
Whereas, Tina can always be found in her office either stacked with paperwork or lending advice to staff members who are in the middle of a crisis, and she is always there to lend a hand or offer assistance for any type of emergency that comes up…..except the milk!! She failed at bringing in the milk on monday mornings, so therefore, Tina, “you can’t handle the milk”, and
Whereas, Tina holds many other titles besides that of deputy clerk/deputy chief of staff. She is also the resident shrink, den mother, hand holder, servant, babysitter, and “elf”. We’re sure she will never forget the first day she met Perry, and
Whereas, accomplishments such as those of Tina Seckerson’s should be properly recognized and acclaimed, therefore, be it further
RESOLVED, that the members of the Westchester County Board of Legislators and their staff wish to thank Tina for her achievements, dedication and service to the Board of Legislators and congratulate her on 25 years of service, and be it further
RESOLVED, that today, October 24, 2005, be proclaimed, “TINA SECKERSON DAY ” in Westchester County, and be it further
RESOLVED, that the text of this proclamation be carried throughout the County of Westchester for all people of good will to forever know.
