Kids with Disabilities Play Ball on New “Miracle Field”
The smiles on the faces of youngsters and parent said it all --- this baseball field designed specifically for kids with disabilities was an instant hit. Earlier this year, the Board of Legislators approved the new $525,000 “Miracle Field” at the county’s Ridge Road Park. Made with a cushioned, rubberized turf to help prevent injuries, the field is built to be safe. It has wheelchair-accessible dugouts. A completely flat surface makes it easily accessible for players with visual or physical impairments.
