White Plains, NY — At Monday’s Budget and Appropriations Committee meeting, eight members of the Citizen’s Budget Advisory Committee (CBAC) were re-appointed: John McGarr, L. William Kay III, Rodman Reef, Julie Stern, Judith Stern Rosen, Diana Quast, Beth Smayda and Jonathan Mark. E. Annette Nash Govan was the new appointment to the committee for the 2024-2025 term.

White Plains, NY — On Monday, the Westchester County Board of Legislators held their annual Irish-American Heritage Month celebration, with an in-person ceremony presenting proclamations to the two honorees, Inspector General Liam McLaughlin and Irish Echo Editor-in-Chief, Ray O’Hanlon.

White Plains, NY - On Monday, March 4th the Westchester County Board of Legislators delivered a host of legislative items that will have a tangible impact on local residents in areas such as infrastructure, environmental protection, economic development, housing, public safety, and transportation.

White Plains, NY — In response to complaints from residents and businesses increasingly affected by flooding, a comprehensive tour of flood sites along the Saw Mill River took place on Thursday afternoon. The tour was initiated by Westchester County Legislator David Imamura (D - Ardsley, Dobbs Ferry, Edgemont, Hartsdale, Hastings-on-Hudson, Irvington), who serves as the Co-Chair of the Board’s Saw Mill Watershed Advisory Board (SWAB), along with Legislator David Tubiolo (D – Yonkers, Mt. Vernon). Imamura collaborated with Groundwork Hudson Valley, NYS Senate Majority Leader Andrea Stewart Cousins, and Assemblymember MaryJane Shimsky to facilitate the tour, which included stops at heavily impacted areas in Mount Pleasant, Elmsford, Ardsley, Hastings-on-Hudson and Yonkers.
