“Westchester County Executive Ken Jenkins and the Westchester County Board of Legislators strongly reject the proposed rate increases recently announced as part of the Joint Proposal between Con Edison, the New York State Public Service Commission (PSC), and other parties.

The Westchester County Board of Legislators received today the proposed FY2026 Operating Budget for consideration from County Executive Ken Jenkins. The Board will now begin a careful review of the 2026 plan.

The Westchester County Board of Legislators brought together a group of County and nonprofit leaders to solemnly honor Domestic Violence Awareness Month on Wednesday, October 29, 2025. Legislator Jewel Williams Johnson convened the gathering to share resources and words of hope for survivors in the Board’s rotunda.

The Board took to the trails on a chilly Sunday morning, October 26, to lead a family-friendly bike ride in support of domestic violence victims. Wearing event t-shirts emblazoned with the purple logo of the Break the Cycle 6-Mile Bike Ride to End Domestic Violence, the group cycled along Westchester’s scenic North County Trailway. The event benefited Pace Women’s Justice Center, a critical legal resource for victims of domestic violence in the New York Metro area.
