Westchester Legislators Pass Landmark Access to Counsel Bill

White Plains, NY – The Westchester County Board of Legislators passed a landmark Access to Counsel bill, offering legal representation to households facing eviction and other covered proceedings whose annual income is at or below 300% of the federal poverty-line or 60% of the county’s Area Median Income (AMI), whichever is higher. The bill was approved by unanimous vote on Monday night.

Board of Legislators Celebrates Jewish-American Heritage Month

White Plains, NY — On Monday evening, the Westchester County Board of Legislators and Westchester Jewish Council (WJC) celebrated Jewish-American Heritage Month with an in-person ceremony commemorating the 75th anniversary of the Westchester Day School and recognizing the vital humanitarian efforts of the Westchester Jewish Council for Immigration (WJCI) and the Resettlement Committee for Refugees.
