White Plains, NY — The Chairman of the Westchester County Board of Legislators, Ben Boykin, has been elected to the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill (UNC) General Alumni Association (GAA) Board of Directors. His term runs through May 2023. He is one of 24 directors and one of the nine directors to represent out-of-state alumni. He will serve on the Budget, Finance & Audit and the Athletic Advisory Committees.

White Plains, NY — All seventeen members of the Westchester County Board of Legislators on Saturday, wrote to Minneapolis Mayor Jacob Frey and members of the Minneapolis City Council, to condemn the killing of George Floyd and to call for swift, fair and total justice by state and local authorities in Minnesota and by federal officials for the murder. The letter was also forwarded to the city’s police chief.
